A little boy sat on a street corner one Friday with a box of kittens. When the Baptist preacher passed, he said, "Hey, preacher! Want to buy some Baptist kittens?" The preacher laughed, shook his head, and walked on. On Monday, the same boy was out with his kittens again when the Baptist preacher walked past talking to the Methodist minister. "Hey, minister! Want to buy some Methodist kittens?" The Methodist minister didn't, but the Baptist preacher decided to put the boy on the spot. "Son, last Friday you told me those were Baptist kittens." "Well, preacher, they were on Friday," replied the quick-thinking boy, "but over the weekend they opened their eyes!"
